March always feels like a gentle reset. More light, more walking, more time at the kitchen table, and a little more attention to the small things that make a big difference.
These are the favorites I keep reaching for lately. None of these are sponsored. They are simply what has been working in real life.
Electrolytes You Can Drink Daily
Just Ingredients Lemonade Electrolytes
For years, my go to electrolytes is BT Fountain. As more brands have come to market, I periodically try the new options.
I do not tolerate a lot of stevia and I do not need something overly salty since I am not training for a marathon. Many powders leave an aftertaste or feel too intense for everyday use.
The lemonade electrolytes from Just Ingredients are a little sweeter than BT Fountain with a mix of stevia and monk fruit, but they come in a bag instead of single servings. That means I can dilute it more, which makes the flavor mild and stretches the bag longer. Better taste and better on the budget.
Support for 10,000 Steps a Day
HOKA Sneakers
Forme Arch Booster Socks
I bought my Hokas as a gift to myself in February and waited until the sidewalks cleared to wear them. They are the most supportive sneakers I own.
I was also gifted a pair of Forme arch booster socks and I am genuinely impressed.
A little background. In a past job, I worked in marketing for a company that supported educational training for orthopedic surgeons. I saw many cases of traumatic injuries and incredible recoveries. When I learned Forme was started by an orthopedic surgeon, I was curious.
I walk over 10,000 steps most days and have dealt with plantar fasciitis and foot fatigue on and off for years. I wore these socks on long walks and during a full museum field trip day. The compression sits exactly where the soreness usually hits.
It truly felt like a compression hug for the bottom of my feet. I was surprised by how much support they provided.
If you deal with arch strain or overuse fatigue, these are worth adding to your walking routine.
Support for Your Skin Barrier
Alpyn Beauty Barrier Repair Cream
My longtime favorite for an easy reset is still a honey enzyme mask. I put it on before the shower, leave it for about 10 minutes, then gently wipe with a warm washcloth and rinse before getting out. Honey and papaya give gentle exfoliation and leave my skin incredibly smooth.
I was gifted the Alpyn Beauty Barrier Repair Cream. It’s a clean beauty brand that has been on my radar for a while so I was eager to try and see how it performs.
With ceramides, ghostberry, and neuropeptides, it feels like real support for the skin barrier. As someone with dry, mature, sensitive skin, I appreciate hydration that feels nourishing but still lightweight. I had no irritation while testing it. It is now a new favorite in my routine and I see myself exploring other products from the brand. This Super Sculpt Peptide Firming & Lifting Serum For Face, Neck & Décolleté is on my list because I have not seen many clean products specifically targeting this area for mature skin.
A Calming Activity We All Keep Coming Back To
Melissa & Doug Lifelines Dot by Letter Books
These were a new find and quickly became a family favorite.
My daughter and I started a few pages, then my son joined when he came home. We leave the books on the kitchen table and everyone drifts over for a few quiet minutes.
It is such a simple, screen free way to reset and be creative without pressure.
A Simple Self Care Habit
The honey enzyme mask, supportive shoes, better hydration, sleep routines, and even a book on the table all come back to the same idea. Small habits done consistently make everyday life feel better.
